Wściekły pies

A Pebble In The Road by Ingeborga Dapkunaite
About the Performance:
*Wściekły pies* (based on Wojciech Tochman’s reportage) is a raw, powerful monodrama. Presented as a priest’s homily addressed directly to the audience (the “faithful”), the play becomes a confessional — the desperate plea of a sinner, a homosexual man trapped in sex addiction and burdened by HIV. His painful search for love, compassion, and understanding unfolds before us, confronting deep societal and personal prejudices.
The surprising, emotional finale forces us — as a society and as individuals — to confront whether we are truly ready to accept the honest confession of someone who no longer wants, or has the strength, to live in hiding.
Director: Marcin Bortkiewicz

> *“But I’m not one of those gays who thinks we need all these parades, rainbow flags, same-sex marriage, or adoption rights. No! I agree with those who say that the fight against so-called ‘DISCRIMINATION OF SEXUAL MINORITIES’ is really an aggressive promotion of homosexuality. A promotion of disorder. It’s a cunning attack on the values that shaped our civilization — which comes from Christianity and natural law. Nature clearly teaches that only the relationship between a man and a woman makes sense. Homosexuality is a mistake of nature, a freak occurrence. Maybe an error in evolution, though they haven’t found a gene responsible for homosexuality yet…”*
